A30 car fire brings traffic to standstill – updates

A fire has brought traffic on the A30 in Cornwall to standstill this afternoon.

The latest incident follows an earlier closure after a serious crash at Zelah – while there are also delays elswehere on the A30, the M5, A38 and the A35.

At 1.05pm, roads and traffic monitoring Inrix reported that vehicle fire had left the A30 westbound blocked at Fraddon.

Traffic heading from Bodmin towards Indian Queens is affected.

Photos from the scene taken by James Lorne show a Peugeot car well alight and belching a plume of black smoke into the air.
