Calls were received at fifty three minutes past midnight to a fire in a flat annexe in Ashton.
Two appliances from Helston and Penzance arriving at the scene. Firefighters on board realised they would need help and called for two more pumps and a water carrier.
The extra pumps arrived from St Just and Tolvaddon while the water carrier came from the Helston station.
Firefighters used four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to put out the fire.
A statement from the control room of Cornwall Fire and Rescue Centre said: “Ashton at 17/10/2023, 00:53. Two pumping appliances from Helston and Penzance and a wholetime officer were mobilised to reports of a fire in the annexe of a flat.
“On arrival, crews sent a makeup message to ‘make pumps four and water carriers one’.
“The additional pumping appliances were mobilised from St Just and Tolvaddon, along with the water carrier from Helston.
“Four breathing apparatus, under stage one and two hose reel jets are being using to extinguish the fire.”
