The residents of a block of flats in Cornwall have been evacuated after a fire broke out inside the building.
The incident happened on Station Road, Truro, before 10.30pm last night.
The fire service, police and the ambulance service all attended the scene.
A spokesperson for Cornwall’s Fire and Rescue Service said: “A passerby phoned 999 to alert the fire service to smoke issuing from the top floor flat.
“Three appliances were immediately mobilised from Truro and Tolvaddon. The officer in charge quickly requested a fourth pump which was also mobilised from Tolvaddon.
“This then prompted mobilising specialist vehicles from Falmouth and St Just. The block of flats was evacuated and all persons were quickly accounted for.
