A cyclist injured in a collision with a car on the A39 in Cornwall is being treated for his injuries in hospital.
The road was closed in both directions on Tuesday evening due to the collision at Winnards Perch, St Columb.
The cyclist was taken to Treliske Hospital with what were initially described as serious injuries. Police confirmed on Wednesday morning the injuries were not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “We were called with reports of a collision between a car and a cyclist on the A39 at Winnards Perch, St Columb, at around 5.50pm. Ambulance also attended the scene.
“The male cyclist was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.
“The road was closed and there were delays for motorists in the area.
“The section of road was reopened at 7.10pm.”
