Concert for Rosey

30 September @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

£10
In life, there are things we can do to help others in need, and this is one such occasion. Rosey suffered a life-changing accident which left her in a wheelchair. Through intensive privately-funded physiotherapy, she has regained some of her lost muscular functions, but now needs a very specialist operation not available in this country. As our way of helping, 5 superb acts have come together for an evening of music to raise as much as we can for this very worthy cause.
Mevagissey Male Choir celebrates it’s 50th anniversary next year, and since the arrival of their new musical director, Jimmy Cannon, have gone from strength to strength.
Champagne Cornwall Chorus has been entertaining audiences for over 30 years with their superb four-part harmony group singing acappella style.
NoteAbility is a very successful community choir based in St Austell. Formed in 2012, the choir has performed in many prestigious locations under the leadership of their musical direct, Matt Douglas.
Carclaze Voices is also a very successful community choir, also led by Matt Douglas, which started life as a choir for parents and teachers at Carclaze School, but now open to all. They sing with a huge amount of flair and passion.
Harry Glasson really needs no introduction! Almost single-handedly he has led the revival of singing in the county, especially when it comes to shanties and songs of the sea and Cornwall. It was Harry who wrote the now universally sung anthem, Cornwall My Home.
Do join us for this wonderful feast of top-quality music, whilst at the same time helping someone in real need.
Tickets: £10 on door, £8 in advance
