Falmouth Rugby Club, one of the county’s oldest clubs, has announced a three-year sponsorship agreement with Travis Perkins.
This partnership names the UK’s largest supplier of building materials as one of the club’s shirt sponsors for the next three seasons.
Established in 1873, Falmouth RFC, which competes in the Counties Two Tribute Ale Cornwall league, is home to three senior Eagles sides – two male and one female – 16 junior teams, and a mixed touch team named the Raptors.
The club’s black and white hooped jerseys will now display the Travis Perkins logo at their centre.
Paul Munden, branch manager at Penryn Travis Perkins, said: “It is great to see our logo on the front of Falmouth’s shirt.
“The team plays against a variety of different sides across the county.
“The kit itself is very smart, and it is great to see our brand right in the centre of it.
“The rugby team is well followed, and it plays a very big part in the local community in Falmouth.
“It is great to be able to provide them with this kind of support.
“We look forward to a great relationship with the team over the next three years and following their progress on and off the field.”
Danny Trick, Falmouth RFC brand communications and co-vice-chair, said: “It is great to have Travis Perkins, a nationally recognised brand, on board as one of our main sponsors for the next three years.
“Running a rugby club is not always straightforward, and we rely heavily on the generosity of sponsors like Travis Perkins to help us keep moving forward.
“The Club would like to thank them for their support, and we look forward to working with them for the next three years.”
Travis Perkins, part of Travis Perkins plc, is the UK’s largest supplier of building materials to the building and construction industry.
It has a network of over 500 branches and supplies thousands of products and materials, as well as a tool hire service, to trade professionals and self-builders across the nation.
The Penryn branch is located on Church Hill.
