Police have confirmed multiple people have been injured at the scene of a crash on the A30 in Cornwall.
The road has been closed by officers this evening (October 16) as emergency services rush to the scene.
The incident has happened between A3047 at Camborne West and B3301 Carwin Rise at Loggans Moor roundabout, with traffic monitoring website Inrix describing the incident as “serious”.

Traffic in the surrounding area is said to be gridlocked as a result with cars now being made to turn around and divert via the old A30 Connor Downs to rejoin the A30 At Loggans Moor Roundabout.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “We are attending a two vehicle collision in Camborne.
“Multiple services are on the scene and the road is closed at Illogan at this time.
“We are treating injured parties. Further updates will follow.”
One eyewitness has said there is ambulance, fire engines and police at the scene.
The motorists said: “We’re not moving – we’ve been u-turned on the dip and the road has been closed both ways.”
Pictures taken at the scene show both lanes of the road gridlocked as traffic monitoring website Inrix now reports congestion is heading towards Hayle.
