Nurse finds car flipped onto its roof

A man had a lucky escape this morning after his car flipped onto its roof.

A member of the public, who is a nurse, discovered the upside down at around 7.30am this morning near Lanivet, Bodmin.

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that the driver was left uninjured.

The car was safely recovered by 9am.

Police inspector Regie Butler-Card took to Twitter to remind people to slow down and to take care when they are on the road.

His tweet said: “Another one this morning who missed the memo Remember folks Shiny side up dirty side down.

“Driver walked away uninjured Very lucky! Slow down, take care.”

This wasn’t the first overturned car in Cornwall this week.

On Monday (Jan 25), a car had rolled onto its roof near the crossroads to Davidstow and Delabole.

Luckily, the female driver was also not injured.

Drivers are reminded to only leave their homes for essential reasons under current government guidelines.
