A police officer was kicked in the face after trying to arrest a man in Truro last night (Saturday December 12).
Police Sergeant Dave Pearce tweeted about the incident in the city and said it was “disgusting behaviour”.
He went on to explain the man had been taken into custody and his actions were “not acceptable”.
The police officer who was kicked is not believed to have maintained any serious injuries.
Sergeant Pearce tweeted at 3.13am today: “Officer has been kicked in the face whilst trying to arrest a male this evening in Truro.
“Disgusting behaviour. He is now in custody. This is not acceptable.
“So glad the officer is ok and no serious injuries.”
