Porthleven runner completes London Marathon in just over three hours raising £3,500 for CHSW

The team at RGB Building Supplies in Porthleven is congratulating their colleague Ross Atkinson for completing the London Marathon in a remarkable time of 3 hours and 4 minutes.

The London Marathon annually attracts elite athletes and amateur runners alike to navigate a challenging 26.2-mile course. Ross’s exceptional performance placed him in the top 9% of the 50,000 participants who crossed the finish line, helping him raise £3,500 for RGB’s chosen charity Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

CHSW provides hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families at their hospices in Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. Their dedicated team offers vital support, comfort, and respite, ensuring families receive the care and compassion they deserve.

Ross Atkinson commented:

“Training for the London Marathon has been an incredibly demanding yet rewarding experience. Crossing the finish line amidst the cheers of the crowd was very exhilarating, and I’m extremely grateful for the overwhelming support and encouragement I received from my friends, family, RGB colleagues, and customers, who have helped me raise £3,500 for such a fantastic charity.”

Danny Spokes, Managing Director of RGB, added:

“At RGB Building Supplies, we are incredibly proud to have such driven individuals like Ross within our team.
