In a few days’ time you’ll be able to jump into the UK’s first geothermal heated lido.
Jubilee Pool, in Penzance, is finally opening its geothermal spa to the public next week.
The sustainable pool, filled with natural salt water, will reach 35 degrees using heat sourced deep underground, and is the first of its kind in the country.
After several delays and much anticipation, while you can make bookings from today, the pool itself will open to the public on Tuesday (September 1).
A spokesperson for Jubilee Pool posted on the venue’s Facebook page: “Our geothermal pool is opening to the public on Tuesday 1st September 2020. Tickets will be available to book online from noon on Tuesday 25th August.
“Come and relax in our natural salt water pool heated via our own geothermal well to a balmy 35 degrees – the first pool of its kind in the UK.
“There are significant discounts on ticket prices for Cornwall and Penzance Town Council parish residents (proof of residency required).”
Tickets for adults cost£11.75 and tickets for children between 5 and 16 years old cost £8.20. To check the price list, click here.
