A MAN who allowed sex acts to be performed on him in the middle of Penzance has pleaded guilty to outraging public decency at Truro Magistrates’ Court.
Jack John Reginald Keane, 32, who is currently on remand at HMP Exeter, had originally pleaded not guilty to outraging public decency by behaving in an indecent manner by receiving sexual favours in a public place, namely Penzance on September 17 last year. But changed his plea to guilty when he appeared at Truro Magistrates’ Court on July 29.
He had already pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive, insulting words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to Dorian Thomas on October 16, 2021 when he appeared at Truro Magistrates’ Court on March 29 this year.
At the same time, he had also admitted failing to comply with a public spaces protection order by drinking alcohol in public in Penzance on September 17 which he was banned from doing so by a public spaces protection order and refusing to hand it over and drinking it to stop it being confiscated and the same charge on October 16 in Penzance.
Keane was remanded on unconditional bail to August 30 for pre-sentence reports to be prepared before sentencing.
In the meantime he was made the subject of an Interim Criminal Behaviour Order that he must not act in a manner that causes any person to fear for their safety whilst in any public place; be in possession of an open container containing alcohol or consume alcohol in any public area designated a public spaces protection order (PSPO) and areas where the public have access to in Penzance; refuse to surrender any opened container of alcohol, or any container suspected to contain alcohol to any police constable, police community support officer or CSAS officer empowered to request alcohol, when required to do so in any public place or place the public have access to in Penzance; enter or attempt to enter Wharfside Shopping Centre, Penzance, Tesco Express, 104 Market Jew Street, Penzance; remain on any shop or commercial premises if asked to leave by staff, premises owners or any person responsible for that premises in the town of Penzance.
